Lockport Photographer - Maternity & Newborn Photo Session Six Feet Apart During Covid

I first met this amazing family in my neighborhood while doing front porch sessions. An instant connection, and I now get to watch their fourth son grow, during his first year with a newborn, 3months, 6months, 9months and 1 year sessions.

I get asked a lot, how can I photograph families or newborns during Covid-19 & staying six feet apart? Simple. I typically use my 70-200 long lens to ensure I keep that six feet difference. Newborn sessions, I not only wear a mask the whole time, but I also wear gloves if I have to move/position the baby. Is it different then my in home newborn sessions, yes, absolutely, however, it's completely doable. Allows me to be extra creative. Would you know that the family photos were taken with me standing and photographing outside & the family of five sitting inside with the screen door wide open? Nope! But it was so hot, was a win/win for everyone with the heat and incredible light.
